I was born just outside Sherwood Forest, and then raised on a diet of books and outdoor adventure. I discovered Fantasy in the shape of my dad’s 1960s edition of The Hobbit, aged nine. From then on, it was dragons, merfolk and magic all the way! When I was ten, I tried to write a book; it was made of lined paper and sellotape, and was about a frog who owned an aeroplane.
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a B.A. (hons) in English with Creative Writing in 2009 and returned to NTU to graduate with distinction in M.A. Creative Writing in 2014. I am also a PGCE-qualified Primary School teacher; a big influence on my love of children’s and YA books!
I have been fortunate enough to have my work published by The Siren Press, IdeasTap, Dagda Publishing, Boo Books and Gumbo Press, amongst others. Click here to find out more.
