Lucy Lapinska is the author of SOME BODY LIKE ME, their debut adult speculative fiction novel, publishing in April 2025.

 

They have previously written as L. D. Lapinski, publishing bestselling children's books such as ARTEZANS: The Forgotten Magic, JAMIE, Stepfather Christmas, and The Strangeworlds Travel Agency series. Their debut YA graphic novel, created with illustrator Logan Hanning, will be published in June 2025.

Lapinska's books are published around the world in sixteen languages, and each book in the Strangeworlds trilogy and the standalone novel JAMIE have been awarded a Kirkus star - one of the most coveted designations in the book industry, marking books of exceptional merit.

Lapinska lives in Inverness with their family, a lot of books, and a cat called Hector.
